May 19 - Pentecost Sunday - the Birthday of the Church - will be a great day for us at St. Andrew's! We continue to celebrate our 100th year as an Episcopal presence and church community in Milford.
Our special guest and preacher will be the Reverend Canon Ranjit K. Mathews, Canon to the Ordinary of the Diocese. Canon Mathews was born in India and has a very interesting background including time spent in ministry in Africa. He is a lovely priest and will surely bring a message of encouragement and hope to the St. Andrew's community.
We will follow the service with a festive brunch in Faith Hall. You're invited to bring something to share. There is a sign up sheet on the table in the back of the church (or you may contact Marty Mautte directly.)
Do come and bring family and friends! And please try to wear something RED!
Let's make this a day to remember as we continue to write the history of our parish!
Grace and peace,
Father Nicholas
BOOKS FOR VETS
We have placed a box in the foyer of Faith Hall for an ongoing collection of slightly used books. These will be donated to the VA hospital in West Haven.
Senior Center Food Bank Donations
Please bring your food donations to church on Sundays. We will bring all donations to the Senior Center Food Bank. Thank you for your continued support for this important mission.
(Both Beth El and the Senior Center Food bank have noted a greater need for food donations as the number of people experiencing food insecurity has grown, especially in the presence of inflation. Please be as generous as you can. Thank you.)
The St. Andrew’s Beth-El Dinner Group is seeking
donations of supplies and/or monetary donations
for our 2024 dinner service. Donations of bottled
water, granola bars, and single-serve fruit cups are
welcome. Please leave in the Hall vestibule in the
box marked “Beth-El Dinners” and many thanks in advance for your continued generosity!
On April 14th, 2024 we celebrated "Reunion Sunday"
“Celebrating the Anniversary of St. Andrew’s becoming a self-sustaining parish on January 5, 1962,”
Below are some pictures from 5/28/23 Sunday service and festive coffee hour where each Veteran in our community received his own specially designed Quilt of Valor
